The secret to Gourmet coffee is in the flavoring. Here's one way that takes all of five seconds to make happen, at about 13 cents per pot.
Tea.
Yep, take a single tea bag, cut it open, and spread the tea around in the coffee right before you make your pot of coffee.
I tried the Honey Chamomile Vanilla tea, by Celestial, which I got from a Kroger for about $3.00 a box, but also used a 50-cent-off coupon that the vendor placed on some of the boxes - it really does taste great.
Here's a more exotic option, below.
Anyway, you can do this same thing with other dried spices, too, and flavor your coffee with cinnamon, ginger, cloves, mint, and more.

ReplyDeleteI squirt a couple eyedroppers full of vanilla, cherry, and coconut extract into each cup and then put a squeeze of chocolate syrup on top of that, stir, and then add milk. Can you tell I don't like the taste of black coffee?
ReplyDeleteYES, Starbucks spoiled me a LONG time ago. I cannot stand unflavored coffee!
